Alessio Cannizzo

Born in Rome in 1993 to a Pieds-Noirs French-Italian family with roots in Tunis, grown up in Rom. He moved to Berlin in 2014, he attended the Dance Intensive Program at Tanzfabrik Berlin and later entered Kunsthochschule BerlinWeißensee, where He developed an approach that moves between choreography, sculpture and sound. Part of the collective Mouton Noir. In recent years he has refined his own research through exhibitions and performances in smaller galleries and art spaces, while also participating in works by established artists at Haus der Kunst in Munich, MACRO in Rom, Hamburger Bahnhof, MUMOK, Uferstudios and Tanznacht in Berlin.
